Absolut

After 35 years people still love the Absolut Bottle ads. Unfortunately they don’t drink the vodka. Everyone recognizes the brand’s shape, but they have forgotten the reasoning behind the brand’s name. The Absolut World campaign stopped repeating bottle iconography and, instead, demonstrated what the brand had always stood for: being Absolut. Based on the simple question “what if everything in the world was as absolute as the Absolut Vodka?” the campaign portrays more ideal, hopeful, clever worlds that re-enforce the intent behind the original product and the brand, striving to make things Absolut.

Iconic brand content, both big and small, launched the campaign. Then a series of global events, from Las Vegas to Paris, demonstrated what the world would actually be like if it were more Absolut.

And, of course, in an Absolut World anyone could be Kanye West.

The Absolute World film contest asked people to submit their own examples of an Absolut World. There were countless amazing submissions, each one encouraging more people talk about an Absolut World.  Check out Absolut Vandalos.
